Website Features

Part of making the website a successful part of the promotional package, is ensuring that potential audiences remain interested and want to explore the site.

This is a screen shot of the website design as it stands. We like this design as it mimics the format of the poster using the same imagery and font.
As a group we decided to do this to keep to conventions of promotional packages, in order to use it as a marketing technique.
By keeping the same theme throughout the different ancillary texts and also the trailer, ensures that the film has a unique look and is also distinguishable - with people recognising the different forms of advertisement and linking them to the same film.

With this we also used a specific technique in order to keep people scrolling along the page. By putting the trailer underneath the 'scroll line' it means viewers are having to explore the page further. As well as the trailer being there, we have also placed a mini photo gallery of shots that we took during filming - as if to give the audience a behind the scenes glance of our film making experience.

A feature we specifically used for the trailer, was to use the auto play setting and put it on an automatic loop. This means that due to it being placed below the scroll line - the site viewer will have to scroll down to the trailer in order to stop, pause or mute it, meaning that in some way they are forced to watch it.

At the bottom of the page it also contains interactive social media features - linking to By And By's twitter and facebook!
