1950's Research

As the main part of our storyline involves different time periods, it is essential we research the era fully to make this come across clearly to the audience.

Costume is the selling point in trying to convince the audience that our protagonist is in the 1950's. The fifties were the bridge between the war and the lively sixties. Britain was leaving behind the war attitude and mind-set in order to begin what would be a new colourful and liberated era.

With this in mind, a long dress remains appropriate to cloth the girl in.

Her character needs to portray innocence and vulnerability and a floral dress will help this; and provide an iconic resemblance with the 1950's period.
